Reims Champagne Tour From Paris

1 hour 30 drive from Paris, you will arrive to the Champagne region known in Roman times as Land of Plains and celebrated since the days of Dom Perignon for its amazing sparkling wines.

Driving along the “Route du Champagne” you will be driven through CHATILLON SUR MARNE that is famous for being the birthplace of pope Urbain II whose giant statue overlooks the Marne Valley. After enjoying the thrilling panoramic view, you will continue your trip driving to EPERNAY, the capital of Champagne. You will also visit the most prestigious champagne producers in the world : Moet and Chandon,

A wine expert of the house will explain you the details of the method of Champagne making from the grape picking to the bottling. The visit last at least one hour and is followed by a tasting

After this amazing tasting, you will continue your trip to the village of HAUTVILLERS, the home-village of Dom Pérignon where you will have a look at the incredible local church.

After that you can have a wonderful lunch (not included) in one of the typical local restaurants. Your driver will bring you to Reims, the “Coronation City” to visit Cathedral NOTRE-DAME DE REIMS.

Inside this architectural masterpiece and site of the coronations of Kings of France, admire its 2,300-plus statues and 13th-century stained-glass windows. In the city center, sample specialties like Chaource and Langres cheeses, the famous Biscuits Roses de Reims (pink cookies) and white pudding, a type of sausage from Rethel.

Before heading back to Paris, you can also visit a family owned Champagne House. During that visit, the wine makers themselves will share with you their own passion, family story and of course their wine.
